Accessible & Affordable Location
Baltimore is easy to get to and even easier to navigate. One-third of the East Coast’s population can drive here using I-95, while Amtrak’s Penn Station and Baltimore/Washington International Airport are great options for those traveling from farther away. Once here, we’ve got many affordable, family-friendly hotel options within walking distance of the Inner Harbor and Camden Yards as well as in other must-see Baltimore neighborhoods.

Baltimore’s history is America’s history, and our past is dotted with many milestones and first-ever landmarks. Learn what inspired the Star-Spangled Banner at Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine, see the oldest steam-powered tugboat in the U.S. at the Baltimore Museum of Industry, find the nation's first Catholic cathedral in Mount Vernon, or take a ride along the first mile and half of railroad track laid in America at the B&O Railroad Museum. Other must-see historic sites include the Washington Monument (completed nearly 60 years before the one in Washington, D.C.), the Edgar Allan Poe House & Museum, and Fell’s Point, where Frederick Douglass worked in the shipyards.

So Much More Than Seafood
Baltimore’s world-class culinary scene consists of more than crabs and seafood (though you must try them when in town). We have diverse international flavors, historic public markets and food halls, delicious vegan options, cocktails that will hit the spot, and locally beloved breweries. From upscale eateries to quaint cafes, Charm City boasts an impressive lineup of restaurants to satisfy your every craving.
